Theragun Mini 3rd Gen by Therabody
Recovery tools are most useful when they are actually close enough to use
The Theragun Mini 3rd Gen takes Therabody’s percussion technology and compresses it into its smallest and lightest Theragun, with three speeds, three targeted attachments and a design compact enough to move between the gym bag, office and suitcase.
It is built for people who want a practical recovery tool without dedicating permanent space to a full-size massage gun.

AT A GLANCE
Best For
People who want a compact percussion massage tool for post-workout recovery, everyday muscle tension, travel, or long periods of sitting.
Routine Fit
Easy to keep in a gym bag, work bag or suitcase and use for short recovery sessions when a full-size massage gun would be inconvenient.
May Not Be Ideal For
Anyone who wants the maximum power and leverage of a larger Theragun, or someone who needs treatment for an injury or medical condition rather than a general wellness and recovery tool.
Why We Recommend It
Recovery products often fail for a surprisingly simple reason: they are not where you need them when you actually want to use them. A large massage gun may work well at home, but that becomes less useful after a flight, during a long workday or when it is sitting in another room. The strongest argument for the Theragun Mini 3rd Gen is therefore not raw power. It is accessibility.
Therabody redesigned this generation to be its smallest and lightest Theragun. The current U.S. specification lists the device at roughly 0.40 kg, with dimensions of 116 ร 135 ร 96 mm. It also includes a travel lock to prevent accidental activation inside a bag, a USB-C charging cable and a soft case.
Despite the smaller format, it still gives users three intensity levels: 1,750, 2,100 and 2,400 percussions per minute. That makes it easier to move from a gentler session to a more intensive one without introducing a complicated interface. Control is intentionally simple.
The three included attachments also make the product more useful than a single-head mini massager. The Dampener is designed for more sensitive areas, the Standard Ball for broader full-body use, and the Thumb for more focused pressure around areas such as the lower back. Therabody positions these attachments for different levels and locations of muscle tension.
Battery life is another practical advantage. Therabody’s current U.S. page lists approximately 150 minutes, which is enough for repeated short sessions before needing to recharge. Bluetooth connectivity and the Therabody app can also provide guided routines for users who do not want to guess which attachment or setting to use.
The limitation is price. There are many less expensive percussion massagers, and the Mini does not make sense simply because it is small. Its value comes from the combination of compact engineering, Therabody’s attachment system, portability and a more developed recovery ecosystem. For someone who knows they will actually use it across work, training and travel, that combination can justify the premium. For occasional home use, a simpler option may be enough.
